Our company was founded in the summer of 1989, originally the brain-child of 7 aspiring entrepeneurs from both within and outside the steel industry. We started in a small 4200 sq.ft shop in the Port Kells area that had one bay and no overhead cranes
As our business grew we needed more space and made the decision to expand to a larger facility in the Gloucester Industrial Park (only the second building in the park at the time), this new location put us minutes from Highway 1 and allowed for ideal truck routing to our customers in the Fraser Valley and also further West towards the Tri-Cities and Vancouver.
In 1998 again we saw the need to expand, and so did the industrial park. Luckily a building became available down the street from our first location in Gloucester and we moved in. Our new, larger building afforded us the opportunity to upgrade our material handling and cutting operations, offering increased service to our customers.
The shop quickly filled up and by 2007 we were bursting at the seams with inventory and equipment so we took down the walls and expanded the buidling to its current footprint of over 54,000 sq/ft housing five large capacity saws, seven overhead cranes, roughly 6 million pounds of inventory and over 25 staff.
